The Ethereal Succinct is an ambient score for Etherious. This score, also produced in Ableton Live, plays with dissonance, timings, and some spooky pads to unnerve the listener. The reverberating bell sound was chosen for the melody due to its spacious qualities. The arrangement of this score similarly chooses to focus on creating space for rumination. It is, after all, a track meant for space. The B section of the song takes away the scary pads, replacing them with a more open and wondrous pad and a lighter melody. This section, of course, eventually surrenders to the unsettling pads which terminate the score.
